The Bit About Us
Founded in 2019, by 3 incredibly motivated entrepreneurs whose mission was clear - business should be a force for good. We are very proud to be a Certified B Corp! We currently manage almost 400,000 sq ft of hospitality focused co-working, event, and exclusive Clubspaces for over 5000 members. We operate across the UK, with offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Milton Keynes, with plans to launch more sites in 2025 (and beyond!).
About The Role
As Lead Host, you will shape first impressions and set the tone for the entire member experience. You’ll oversee the host desk, manage reservations, welcome members and guests, and supervise a team of two hosts - coaching, supporting and leading them to deliver outstanding service every day. You’ll be the key link between members and the wider team, so your people skills, organisation and attention to detail need to be second to none. Shifts will vary, however they will mostly be daytime and weekends. This is a 30/35 hour per week variable contract, paid at £15 per hour + service.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and support a team of two hosts, setting standards and leading by example
- Welcome members and guests with warmth, confidence and personality
- Become our reservation system champion (SevenRooms) and oversee daily bookings in the club and also of member events
- Build strong relationships with members and remember preferences
- Handle special requests and resolve issues with care and professionalism
- Work closely with floor and kitchen teams to manage guest flow
- Support events, private dining and daily service
- Ensure the entrance and host desk always look exceptional
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a host or front-of-house role within a premium hospitality or members’ club environment
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring others (desirable)
- Naturally warm, confident and engaging personality
- Impeccable presentation and professionalism
- Strong organisation and multitasking skills
- Calm, solutions-focused approach
- Comfortable using booking systems, email and basic tech
Why x+why?
We want you to enjoy coming to work every day - even on Mondays. You’ll work in a beautiful space with great design, stunning views, excellent coffee and plenty of plants. You’ll also be part of a supportive, collaborative team who take their members seriously, but not themselves. We believe hospitality is a real career, not just a stopgap. If you love people, thrive in a fast-paced environment and want to grow, we’d love to hear from you.
