At x+why we’re on a mission to change the way the world works - for good. x+why was founded in 2019 by three determined entrepreneurs with a clear mission: business should be a force for good. For us, that means considering people and planet alongside profit, and we’re incredibly proud to be a Certified B Corp. Today we operate over 400,000 sq ft of hospitality‑led coworking, event, and members’ club spaces for 5,000+ members. With a total of 15 sites, you’ll find us in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Milton Keynes, with more launches on the horizon!
As Community Associate you will be the first point of contact for our members at Great Cumberland Place, which sits directly opposite Marble Arch. With its 5‑star hotel feel, the space is polished, elegant, and designed to impress! As an integral part of the x+why community, you’ll be on hand to provide members and guests with a genuinely warm welcome, foster strong relationships, and create an environment that’s professional yet approachable.
It’s a hands‑on role and no two days will be the same. Based on the main workspace reception desk, you’ll also be free to move around the building, proactively supporting members, spotting what needs doing, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. You’ll respond quickly and thoughtfully to member queries, organise and host inspiring community events, and support the sales team with tours when needed. From resolving everyday facilities challenges (yes, including the occasional air con issue!) to maintaining exceptional building standards and supporting H&S compliance, you’ll take pride in creating an environment that feels welcoming, professional, and efficient at all times.
Ideally, you’re available to start at the end of April.
You understand what 5‑star service looks like and how to deliver it consistently. Your approachable, warm and engaging nature ensures that every member you interact with walks away a little happier! You thrive on ownership but also enjoy being part of a collaborative team. You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and respond quickly to anything that needs attention. Juggling multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail? That’s your sweet spot. You’re adaptable, proactive, and take pride in exceeding expectations while keeping everything running like clockwork.
We want you to enjoy coming to work every day. Even on Mondays. To make sure of this we will provide you with a phenomenal environment - think stylish design, cutting edge tech, stunning views (of Hyde Park), great coffee, and lots of plants! Plus, you’ll be part of our incredibly supportive, collaborative team, who although take their members’ experience very seriously, also want to have a little fun along the way.
Simply upload your CV and an actual real‑life human will review your application. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
