Overview

The Arding Rooms is our newest private members club, located within the beautifully restored Arding & Hobbs building in the heart of Clapham Junction. A thoughtful blend of Art Deco eccentricity with a modern, creative spirit, we have created a space where high end hospitality meets community, comfort and style. The Club is open 7 days a week, and shifts will mostly be evenings and weekends (range of day/evenings). This is a variable contract which will offer approx 35/40 hours per week and an hourly rate of £14 + service. Ideally you will be available to start from 1st June.

The bit about the role

Based on the Club's front desk reception, your primary goal is to ensure that every member who walks into the Club has an exceptional initial experience, as this will set the tone for their entire guest journey.

In addition to guiding the guest experience, you will support the General Manager, Lead Host and wider event, sales and membership teams with email enquiries from current and prospective members. You will also coordinate restaurant and meeting room bookings, track our event RSVP pipeline, generate QR codes and assist with event asset creation using Canva (menus/name cards etc).

What you will bring

Your warm, engaging and approachable nature instantly puts people at ease, and everyone you interact with walks away a little bit happier. You love being the “glue” that keeps everything ticking along, and enjoy collaborating with a broad range of people. You have a knack for remembering names and faces, and enjoy connecting with members (and their furry friends!). You are resourceful in your approach to problems and people trust you will "get it done". As a highly visible Brand Ambassador for the Club, you consistently demonstrate composure, professionalism and kindness - even on the bumpiest of days. Experience working in a similar role for a premium restaurant brand or private members club is preferred.

Requirements

All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
