The Arding Rooms is our newest private members club, located within the beautifully restored Arding & Hobbs building in the heart of Clapham Junction. A thoughtful blend of Art Deco eccentricity with a modern, creative spirit, we have created a space where high end hospitality meets community, comfort and style. Our members have access to our stunning all day dining restaurant (think elevated bistro), incredible roof terrace and a beautiful dedicated event space. Menus are seasonal, local, and simple, with an ethical, ingredient-led approach. From relaxed weekday lunches to lively weekend brunches, we offer our members food that feels honest, beautiful, and bursting with flavour.
Alongside the main restaurant, we host a range of corporate and social events for our members and external clients, and the kitchen team work closely with the Events Manager to provide bespoke catering packages for these events. We are now looking for an accomplished and ambitious Senior Sous Chef to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a 7 day operation with a range of daytime, evening and weekend shifts.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the Head Chef in all areas of kitchen leadership
- Help design and execute fresh, seasonal menus
- Lead the team during busy services to ensure things run smoothly
- Train and mentor junior team members
- Manage orders, stock and costs efficiently
- Ensure the kitchen meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a quality-led kitchen
- Is passionate about flavour, freshness, and beautiful presentation
- Loves creating a calm, positive environment for the team - with no egos!
- Can bring ideas to the table and isn’t afraid to try something new
