We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic part time Kitchen Assistant to join our small kitchen team on a casual basis (average 20 hrs per week). You’ll support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team in delivering a beautiful food service to our members and event clients. This hands‑on role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. The hourly rate is £13.50. We are open Monday to Friday from 8 am until late, with occasional weekend shifts. Hours can be flexibly split across the week.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and back‑of‑house.
- Wash and sanitise crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen utensils, and equipment.
- Ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Empty bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with food safety and recycling procedures.
- Support chefs with basic preparation tasks and event set‑up when required.
- Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen equipment, storage areas, and refrigerators.
- Ensure health & safety and hygiene regulations are followed at all times.
About You
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn is a must‑have.
- Excellent attention to detail and time‑management skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented.
- A food hygiene certificate would be great but is not essential; training will be provided.
