We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced consultant to join our Cloud Networking and Security team. The Role, Purpose and Mission:

A Xtravirt Consultant understands a situation, employs an objective manner that builds trust and confidence, then applies honesty, integrity, professionalism, tools and communication skills to meet or exceed customer goals and expectations in a managed way that enables the customer to achieve success through their technical and business defined outcomes.

Lifecycle customers:

The role supports Xtravirt’s strategy and team plans by championing, identifying and driving opportunities to support transition, growth and retention of customers to lifecycle relationships, collaborating with other teams to achieve the collective goal.

Customer success:

You are also a key contributor to ongoing success for our customers, customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Scoring targets.

You’ll be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding and knowledge of VMware by Broadcom Portfolio, having engaged with enterprise customers to evangelise, design and implement solutions based on the customer’s specific use case and requirements in the areas of:

  • Understanding the customer landscape and then designing or feeding into solutions that meet the customers’ underlying business objectives rather than just implementing the technical product
  • Facilitate the customer’s journey towards emerging technology solutions and supporting them through today’s complex digital world
  • Create the best architecture designs, datacentre operations and end-to-end computing solutions appropriate for the customer
  • Consultants are pivotal to our business offering customer engagement and on occasion you may support Pre-Sales engagement for the creation of technical proposals

Required Skills:

You’ll be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding and knowledge of the VMware core infrastructure and NSX and have engaged with enterprise customers to evangelise, design and implement solutions based on the customer’s specific use case and requirements. The position requires deep technical knowledge along with strong communication skills. You will be able to lead with hands-on skills from requirements gathering and design to deployment and operational readiness and have significant experience across multiple product areas such as:

  • Cloud Networking and Security
  • NSX-T
  • IDS / IPS
  • NSX Advanced Load Balancer (Avi Networks)
  • Network Insight (vRNI)

Desirable Skills:

All customers are focused on the desired business outcomes which do not normally finish with deployment of specific technologies and therefore having expanded knowledge experience and skill will assist you in ensuring the successful adoption and success for our customers through new or advanced solutions is desirable, in areas such as:

  • Expanded Infrastructure Deployment / Operate Manage and Readiness Skills
  • VMware Cloud Foundation (v5.x – 9.x)
  • VMware Aria Suite
  • VMware Live Recovery
  • VMware vSphere with Tanzu
  • VMware Site Recovery Manager
  • VMware vSphere Replication
  • VMware HCX
  • Private AI with NVIDIA
  • Product lifecycle processes, such as certificate replacement, password rotation and product upgrades.
