The role of Junior Creative Designer is ideal for someone at graduate level, or starting out on their career in design. With 0 – 2 years’ experience, the ideal candidate will be hungry to grow, confident in bringing original ideas to the table and motivated to make their creative mark. Working in‑house at Xtravirt, you will help shape and strengthen our brand across digital, print, events and internal communications. You’ll collaborate closely with the Marketing, Sales and Partner teams to deliver high‑quality, consistent design that supports campaigns, storytelling and business growth. We’re not just looking for someone who can follow a brief – we want someone who brings genuine creative energy, pushes ideas further, and isn’t afraid to think boldly when called for.
What we’re looking for:
- You are a passionate and confident designer with a strong creative foundation, and a portfolio that demonstrates natural design instinct.
- You’re curious about the tech space and excited by the challenge of designing for B2B audiences, using visual storytelling to connect and engage.
- You are detail-oriented, organised, and a great team-player.
- You are eager to develop your skills within a supportive in-house team, and ready to contribute fresh, original ideas.
Key responsibilities:
- Brand ownership & visual identity – Ensure brand consistency through the development and application of clear visual brand guidelines and templates, and enable the delivery of high‑quality visual standards across all communications.
- Sales & marketing collateral – Create impactful marketing and sales assets that communicate complex information clearly and support campaigns, training and enablement, and customer engagement.
- Digital design & web assets – Design and maintain branded digital assets, including website visuals, social graphics and partner platform content.
- Co‑branding – Support co‑branding requirements and ensure accurate application of partner guidelines.
- Events design – Deliver creative assets for events, including signage, stand visuals and supporting materials.
- Email & campaign design – Design engaging email templates and supporting assets that strengthen marketing campaigns, sales outreach and nurture customers and stakeholders.
- Social media creative – Create high‑impact social graphics and reusable templates to support ongoing content and campaign activity.
- Visual storytelling & concept development – Translate ideas and insights into clear, engaging diagrams, illustrations and conceptual visuals.
- Merchandise & physical brand application – Design branded merchandise and physical assets that enhance employee, partner and customer experiences.
- Motion graphics & brand animation – Produce simple, engaging motion graphics, animated brand elements and animations.
- Video production & editing – Create and edit video content including intros/outros, YouTube shorts and promotional clips.
Required qualifications & experience:
- Degree or professional qualification in design (or equivalent).
- Up to 2 years’ experience as a Graphic or Creative Designer; strong recent graduates with internship/placement experience also considered.
- A portfolio that demonstrates genuine creative thinking – we want to see how you approach a problem, not just the end-result.
- Working proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and familiarity with Adobe Express or Canva.
- Experience designing for digital (web, social, email) and print.
- Good typography, layout and visual composition skills, with a desire to keep developing them.
- Ability to work to a brief, develop ideas with stakeholders and bring ideas to life visually.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- B2B sector exposure would be a bonus, but not essential.
- Any experience with motion graphics, video editing or CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress) is a plus – but curiosity and willingness to learn matters more.
Rewarding salary commensurate with experience
- 25 days’ leave plus public holidays
- Private healthcare – includes wellbeing and EAP
- Pension and death in service Insurance
- Company and social events
- Employee recognition and reward
- Discounted retail, travel, and entertainment
