About the Role
As a Test Engineer, you willensure that the facility is well maintained and you will ensure the methods we use are appropriate for the needs of the organisation and our customers, and implement improvements when required.
You will guide Engineers and Technicians in the application of these methods as required to aid the development of Validation Testing.
- Day to Day
- Maintaining and developing Xtrac’s loaded test rigs.
- Delivering a safe, reliable and high-performance test environment.
- Co-ordination of test requirements to extensive test programs are completed ahead of customer delivery.
- Operating test rigs to ensure extensive test programs are completed ahead of customer delivery.
- Support transmission manufacturers by assisting end of line testing.
About You
- Educated to degree level in an engineering related discipline or be qualified by experience in a similar role.
- Experience operating and maintaining loaded full transmission, vehicle or engine test rigs.
- Experience using Sierra Cadet system, including test creation and scheduling.
- Knowledge of complex test systems and control.
- Good understanding of data logging concepts.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure a good working relationship with technicians, engineers and customers.
- Good understanding of mechanical and electrical principles in automotive and motorsport vehicle systems.
- Understand the basics of transmission functionality.

- You will further develop your range of testing and product knowledge in both motorsport and high-performance automotive transmissions.
