Job Title: CNC Miller – Setter / Operator
Night Shift : Monday – Thursday, 19:00 – 06:00
Reporting to: Milling Team Leader
Xtrac is the world’s leading design and manufacture of specialist transmissions. Our customers include the top motorsports racing series including Formula One, Le Mans, IndyCar and NASCAR and we also supply transmissions for the most exclusive high-performance cars in the world.
About the Role
You’ll be responsible for setting, operating, and running Milling Machine Centres to produce transmission components to the company quality standards. You will be required to have close attention to detail and have a good understanding of machine set up approaches.
Knowledge of ISO Fanuc G codes will be required. An understanding of Macro’s and probing programming language will be advantageous.
A requirement will be to complete Quality Control Plans and other documentation to support our high-quality standard. With adherence to the health and safety policies within Xtrac, along with our PACEY (PASSIONATE – ACCOUNTABLE – COLLABORATIVE – EXTERNALLY FOCUSED – YEARNS TO LEARN) values.
Day to Day
We’re looking for people with either a strong machining background or who have completed an engineering apprenticeship. Sound working knowledge of engineering/manufacturing processes is required with the ability to read complex technical drawings with GD&T’s.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in setting, editing and operating vertical and horizontal CNC milling machines, along with practical tool making experience.
Shift Patterns
Nights: Monday-Thursday: 19:00 – 06:00. Shift Allowance Premium = 30% uplift for nights
