Responsibilities
- Lead on driving forward internal Information Governance compliance.
- Ensure the team manages Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, Environmental Information Regulations (EIR) requests and Individual Access Rights requests in a timely manner, ensuring compliance to deadlines and facilitating effective reporting processes.
- Take an active role in information security incident management processes and implement measures to proactively improve resiliency to data breaches and information security incidents.
About You
- Significant experience of managing FOI, EIR and individual access rights requests within a complex organisation and meeting statutory deadlines.
- Experience of managing a team or readiness for taking on this challenge.
- Advise where appropriate on key accountability documentation such as DPIAs and facilitate the accurate logging and co-ordination of requests which come into the team.
- Provide bespoke advice on specific projects to ensure compliance with the data protection framework, including advice on lawful basis and conditions for processing, transparency requirements including privacy notices and matters relating to records management.
- Accountable to an Information Governance Lead and provide assurance over the management of business as usual processes.
