Responsibilities
- Support SMF16/SMF17 with FCA compliance, advisory work, and regulatory updates
- Contribute to the Compliance Monitoring Programme (testing, reviews, action tracking)
- Maintain policies/procedures and assist with compliance training
- AML and transaction monitoring
- Support financial promotions review and record‑keeping
- Assist with AML/CTF, sanctions, and KYC/CDD reviews
- Help manage complaints (DISP), FCA requests, and evidence coordination
- Maintain compliance registers and support regulatory reporting/MI
Requirements
- 1–3 years’ experience in compliance or related regulatory roles within an FCA‑regulated firm
- Working knowledge of FCA rules (SYSC, COBS, PROD, DISP), financial crime expectations, and SMCR conduct rules
- Understanding of retail trading/investment services (ideally CFDs or spread betting)
- Strong attention to detail, good judgement, and clear communication skills
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Consumer Duty
- Experience reviewing financial promotions
- Progress toward ICA, CISI, or similar qualifications
