About You

We are looking for a passionate and driven professional to join our global business development team as a Business Development Manager - UK & Ireland. This is a unique opportunity for someone who lives and breathes video games, understands the needs of game developers, and is deeply connected with the UK and Irish gaming ecosystems.

As Xsolla's brand ambassador across the UK & Ireland, you will champion our monetization and payment solutions across PC, console, mobile, and web-based games, while building and nurturing long-term relationships with developers, publishers, and industry partners. A core part of this role is acting as a regional champion for Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) strategies, helping developers adopt and scale player-first commerce models beyond traditional platform constraints.

You will actively engage with the local gaming community, generate new business opportunities, and support strategic initiatives at both regional and global levels. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the VP of Business Development, with additional collaboration on enterprise-level initiatives led by our SVP. The ideal candidate is proactive, commercially minded, and energized by building scalable, high-impact relationships across one of the world's most influential gaming markets.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a highly visible and trusted presence within the UK & Irish gaming ecosystems both online and in person; attend, support, and actively participate in industry events, conferences, and developer communities across PC, console, mobile, and web.
  • Identify, approach, and develop relationships with prospective partners across PC, console, mobile, and web platforms; position Xsolla as the strategic partner of choice for monetization, payments, and D2C initiatives.
  • Advise developers and publishers on how to best leverage Xsolla's products and services, with a strong focus on Direct-to-Consumer models, monetization strategy, and platform-specific integration considerations.
  • Serve as the D2C champion for the UK & Ireland, educating developers on the benefits of owning the player relationship, guiding them through best practices, and supporting adoption of Xsolla's D2C ecosystem.
  • Represent Xsolla at industry events, panels, and conferences; deliver compelling presentations on monetization trends, D2C strategies, and platform evolution to audiences ranging from indie studios to enterprise publishers.
  • Serve as the voice of the UK & Ireland markets internally by sharing market intelligence, developer feedback, and competitive insights particularly around D2C adoption, platform dynamics, and emerging business models.
  • Regular travel across the UK and Ireland, with occasional international travel to support events, partners, and global initiatives.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Native or fluent English speaker (written and spoken)
  • Strong understanding of the UK & Irish video game industries, including key studios, publishers, and the indie development scene
  • Experience working with PC, console, mobile, and/or web-based games, with strong proficiency in at least one platform and a demonstrated willingness to quickly learn and operate across all platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust and credibility across diverse stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours aligned with events and partner needs
  • Comfortable operating independently while collaborating closely with a global, cross-functional team

Preferred:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or developer relations within the gaming industry
  • Hands-on experience supporting or launching D2C initiatives for games or digital products
  • Deeper technical or commercial understanding of platform-specific monetization, distribution, or integration models
  • Experience with public speaking, panel participation, or presenting at industry events
