XSITE LLC is looking for an Interface Engineering Specialist to join our team in Rhode Island to support the NUWC NEWPORT Code 25 CANES Tactical Networks office/contract. We are a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned company headquartered in San Diego. We provide full spectrum systems and systems-of-systems engineering and integration services and solutions for space, C5ISR, cyber and enterprise information systems. Our core capabilities include AI/ML, Software Development & Sustainment, Systems Engineering (including MBSE), and Modeling & Simulation.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Interface Engineering Specialist to support submarine network modernization efforts. In this role, you will review Service Request Form (SRF) packages and conduct feasibility assessments for integrating new or updated applications into the submarine tactical network. You will support the full integration and certification process while providing technical recommendations and briefings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Review initial Service Request Form (SRF) packages for completeness and technical accuracy, working with stakeholders to obtain any missing or corrected information.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments for new and updated applications, identifying potential impacts to the submarine tactical network and providing detailed analysis along with mitigation recommendations.
  • Support integration efforts by facilitating Integrated Solutions Analysis, coordinating testing, and maintaining accurate SRF documentation throughout the process.
  • Coordinate the certification process for applications and connected systems into the submarine PMW160 Tactical Network, collaborating directly with application owners to achieve successful integration.
  • Provide technical briefings and status reports during Application Integration meetings, including schedule impact analysis and mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Two (2) years of experience with Application Integrations processes in support of Navy submarine platforms.
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance preferred; ability to obtain required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PEO C4I Application Integrations processes in support of submarines.
  • Experience with feasibility assessments, resolving integration challenges, and addressing the impacts of DOD cyber requirements on shipboard systems.
  • Experience with CMPro.
