As Operations Director, you will have the autonomy and support to review, challenge, and transform existing processes, ensuring operational excellence across all aspects of the business. Working closely with our Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you’ll lead the development of streamlined workflows, efficient resource management, and a high-performing operations function.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with the SLT to align operational priorities with the company's overarching objectives.
- Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and performance across all operational processes.
- Drive a culture of excellence and innovation, ensuring that operational standards are continuously raised.
- Process Optimisation & Improvement
- Evaluate existing workflows and identify opportunities for simplification and efficiency.
- Lead the adoption of technology and tools, such as Monday.com, to streamline project management and resource allocation.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging feedback and creative problem-solving.
- Resource & Infrastructure Management
- Ensure optimal allocation of resources across departments and projects, balancing priorities and capacity.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the company’s infrastructure, including workshop, storage, fleet, and assets.
- Build and maintain a preferred supplier network to ensure consistency and cost-effectiveness.
- Health, Safety, & Compliance
- Champion health and safety across all in-house and on-site activities, embedding a culture of awareness and compliance.
- Review and approve all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for projects.
- Stay ahead of regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure full compliance.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the operations team to excel in their roles and contribute to the company’s success.
- Foster collaboration and trust within the team and across departments, ensuring alignment with shared goals.
- Identify training and development opportunities to build a high-performing, resilient team.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams (Creative, Account Management, Workshop) to align operations with project needs.
- Act as a trusted partner for external stakeholders, ensuring smooth collaboration with suppliers, freelancers, and clients.
- Financial Oversight
- Manage operational budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Ensure alignment with the Commercial Director to forecast and track operational expenditures.
- Experience in operations leadership, preferably within the experiential or brand activation industry.
