We have a contract opportunity to join a high-performance engineering team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation in motorsport technology. Based in Oxfordshire, you will be responsible for designing cutting-edge electrical systems that drive success both on and off the track.
End-to-end design and development of advanced electrical assemblies. From initial concept to detailed design, you’ll work closely with Mechanical and Electronics Engineers to bring innovation to life. Your expertise will play a critical role in supporting vehicle builds and test installations in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Main Duties:
- Design and develop electrical assemblies, including wiring harnesses, sensors, and actuators, from concept to detailed implementation.
- Collaborate with key engineering departments such as Aerodynamics, Transmissions, and Powertrains to ensure seamless system integration.
- Liaise with external suppliers to coordinate the delivery of high-quality components.
- Produce clear, concise, and professional documentation, including technical specifications and operating procedures.
- Take ownership of fault diagnosis, conducting thorough analyses and implementing timely solutions.
- Work flexibly within a high-performance engineering team, contributing to innovative design solutions.
- Ensure full compliance with company quality, safety, and performance standards.
Experience required:
- Proficiency in Electrical CAD wiring design software.
- Strong knowledge of electrical fundamentals, including communication protocols (CANbus, Ethernet), sensor technologies, and control systems.
- Experience in designing and integrating electrical and electronic assemblies, including MIL-spec wiring harnesses and connectors.
- Familiarity with Raychem harness systems, Autosport connectors, and high-performance ECU systems is highly desirable.
