About The Role
Our teams of pension administrators provide services to a wide range of trust-based company pension schemes, including defined benefit, defined contribution, career average revalued earnings, and hybrid schemes. Our range of pensions administration services include:
- Scheme administration
- Communication
- Scam identification
- Payroll services
- Pension scheme accounting
- De-risking projects
- Technical consultancy
Our administrative approach is scheme-based; one team is responsible for every aspect of each client’s service, enabling us to build the best possible relationships and provide the clarity of focus each scheme deserves. Ultimately, pension schemes are there for their members; we place just as much emphasis on delivering excellent customer service as we do on technical proficiency and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing daily bank reconciliations to capture all monies received accordingly.
- Investigating any unreconciled monies until resolution.
- Ensuring monies in (transfers in and contributions) are invested within SLAs.
- Liaising with administrators and investment managers.
- Reconciling units and cash for all investment movements via a unit reconciliation.
- Keeping abreast of technical and legislative developments within the pensions industry.
- Ensuring company policies and working procedures are implemented and adhered to by self.
- Forging strong working relationships with other teams in order to provide a total service to our clients. E.g. Administration, Payroll, Client Banking and Accounts.
- Ensuring the accurate updating of time recording system (SuiteProjects) for both chargeable and non-chargeable activities.
- Due to the changing nature of the business, the job holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within their capabilities.
Your Profile
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Outlook and with good Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
- High degree of numeracy.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- An aptitude for working with people both internal and external of the organisation.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities, able to forge strong working relationships with colleagues and clients.
- A client focused approach.
- Flexible approach to work pressures.
- Continuing to augment technical pensions accounting knowledge as well as keeping abreast of legislative changes.
- A high degree of professional integrity.
Desirable
- A proven reconciliations background gained within either an accounting practice or a third-party pension’s provider.
- Previous reconciliations (cash and units) experience would be a plus.
