About The Role

We are seeking a Data Management Support Associate to join our Risk and Assurance team, on an initial 12-month fixed term contract, supporting key projects and related activities. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Group Information Security processes and procedures are followed and specifically supporting data discovery and data cleansing activities. Reporting into a Senior Business Analyst / Consultant, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day project related activities and will work closely with our key business teams and heads to achieve the project objectives. You’ll also be responsible for producing periodical project reporting, analysis and trends under the guidance of project leads. This role is a hybrid role with the expectation to work from a combination of XPS offices and home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collate and manage data received from various sources, e.g. emails, discussions, spreadsheets.
  • Transform the data to a state that is fit for the purpose of this project, i.e. data formatting, standardising and grouping.
  • Use specialist tools to identify data-locations.
  • Use workflow tools to assign tasks to other teams and monitor the progress to completion.
  • Ensure a logical conclusion to the workflow items and handle any exceptions in line with the process.
  • Produce regular progress reports, forecasts and estimates, for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Brief new users about the project as necessary.
  • Maintain project audit trail and documentation.
  • Actively contribute to the achievement of the Group’s Risk team objectives.
  • Uphold, promote, and champion Group values.
  • Foster a culture of integrity and ethical behaviour throughout the organisation and promote and present a positive Compliance culture throughout the Group.
  • Undertake other activities that fall within their capabilities as required.

Your Profile:

  • Competent user of Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.) and other system tools.
  • Effective verbal/written communication and presentation skills with ability to communicate issues clearly to various stakeholders.
  • Data analysis + reporting.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own workload whilst working effectively under pressure.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Initiative and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Being a team worker with a flexible approach.

Desirable

  • Ability to liaise with senior members of the staff including group and business heads.
  • Experience of working in a dynamic office environment with multiple business areas and complex data storage structures.
  • Understanding of UK Data protection and GDPR will be helpful.
  • Able to assume different responsibilities as demanded by the role.
