About The Role

The Scam Protection Team is part of the Member Engagement HUB (HUB) and was set up in 2015 to help protect members from falling victim to pension scams. The team support Trustees and administrators to meet the requirements of the new Transfer Regulations by talking to members directly helping to ensure they have been through a robust process and are not at risk of being scammed. The HUB sit alongside our Pensions Administration department and thus benefit from our long experience and outstanding credentials in this market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboarding of new members for Pension Scams service
  • Arrange appointments with members by telephone and email
  • Conduct telephone interviews with members to identify those at risk of a Pension Scam.
  • Assess information provided in line with the Code of Good Practice, pensions legislation and internal intelligence
  • Produce reports for client teams, Trustees and Compliance review where needed
  • Dealing confidently with members by phone, email or letter
  • Updating/Maintaining records on our primary database ‘ASH’, and online system and other databases
  • Ensuring that member cases are dealt with in accordance with strict deadlines
  • Peer to Peer review where required
  • Process cases in line with agreed Scam Protection Team processes
  • Implementation of new clients
  • Project and new client work as directed by Team Leader or Manager
  • Working closely with other departments/teams both internal and external to provide a total service to our clients (Administration, Clients, Scheme Actuary, Consultants, Providers and third parties).
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of HUB processes and system development
  • Compliance with business associated certifications where required
  • Due to the changing nature of the business, the job holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within their capabilities

Essential Your Profile:

  • Previous experience in a customer service advisor or phone-based office role
  • Demonstrates ownership, responsibility, and accountability for personal performance
  • Strong organizational skills, with an organized, methodical, and logical approach to tasks
  • Maintains high standards of work quality with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to develop and implement effective processes to manage a high volume of tasks
  • Skilled in planning yet adaptable to changing priorities
  • Proactive, with strong drive and commitment to achieving goals
  • Capable of working independently and taking initiative
  • Possesses a positive, “can-do” attitude and takes pride in delivering quality work
  • Communicates effectively and collaborates well within a team to achieve company objectives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Quick to learn and adapt to new systems and applications

Qualifications

  • Ideally educated to A-Level standard
