Goodyear Autocare Merimbula is an award winning, community-first workshop serving locals and visitors for 11+ years. We run a busy, professional operation and keep our community safe on the road.

The role

This is a fast-paced, front-of-house role where you drive the day. You’ll coordinate bookings, keep customers informed, and keep the workshop moving. Success here requires sharp time management, proactive communication, and calm under pressure.

What you’ll do

  • Own the daily schedule: book, sequence, and adjust jobs in real time
  • Greet customers in person/phone/emails, triage needs, set expectations clearly
  • Prepare quotes/invoices; get timely approvals and authorisations
  • Process payments accurately: cash, EFTPOS, Zip, Afterpay, direct deposit
  • Balance till/EFTPOS settlement, reconcile end-of-day takings and receipts
  • Liaise with technicians; send clear updates and photo reports
  • Keep customers informed on progress, costs, and ETAs—no surprises
  • Maintain accurate job cards and parts status; close out jobs cleanly

What success looks like here

  • Zero cash handling errors; till balanced daily without supervision
  • You anticipate bottlenecks and reshuffle before delays hit
  • Customers and techs are updated proactively—no chasing
  • Tight diary discipline: on-time starts, minimal idle bay time
  • Accuracy maintained under pressure (8–10am peaks, holidays)

Must-haves

  • Experience in service advising or fast-paced customer service
  • Proven cash handling accuracy and reconciliation experience
  • High integrity and attention to detail with payments and invoicing
  • Strong time management and prioritisation under pressure
  • Clear, confident communication (phone and face-to-face)

Nice-to-haves

  • Workshop Mate familiarity or similar systems
