I am currently partnering with a highly respected architecture practice with a strong reputation for delivering impactful projects within mixed‑use, commercial and residential sectors. Now the studio is experiencing significant growth within their public sector and is looking to strengthen its senior leadership team to capitalise on new opportunities. ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Principal or Senior Associate to lead and grow the practice’s public sector portfolio. The right candidate will be a proven leader in educational, healthcare, or other public sector architecture, ideally coming from a tier 1 practice or holding significant industry recognition. This role combines project leadership with business development, requiring someone who can not only deliver high‑quality design outcomes but also develop new client relationships, bring revenue into the business and expand the practice’s presence in the public sector.
DUTIES
- Lead and manage major public sector projects across education, healthcare and civic sectors
- Actively develop new client relationships and secure project opportunities
- Network and leverage industry knowledge to grow the practice’s public sector portfolio
- Mentor and guide senior and mid‑level staff within the public sector team
- Oversee project delivery, quality, budgets, and programs
- Contribute to strategic planning, sector growth initiatives and business development strategies
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience as a Principal, Associate, or senior project leader in a tier 1 architectural practice
- Demonstrated track record in educational or healthcare projects
- Strong business development and client relationship skills, with an established network in the sector
- Ability to generate new project enquiries and develop additional lines of business
- Excellent leadership and mentorship capabilities
- Strong communication, negotiation and strategic planning skills
- Eligibility to work in Australia
