APG Workforce is seeking experienced Plant Operators based in Orange for a 6 month government assignment.
Location: Orange, servicing the Central West District (covering Bathurst, Molong, Blayney and surrounding areas)
Start Date: ASAP (subject to pre-employment checks)
Contract Duration: 6 months
Pay Rate: $43.52 per hour + Super
Working hours: 9-day fortnight - Monday to Friday, generally 7:00am – 4:00pm
About the Role
In this role, you will operate a variety of plant and equipment to support the construction and maintenance of road infrastructure across the state highway network. Plant operated may include, but is not limited to:
- Skid steer
- Rollers
- Excavators
Duties will involve road maintenance and construction activities such as minor and heavy patching, guardrail and safety barrier repairs, signage installation, vegetation removal, and other associated works. Manual labouring will also be required when plant operation is not needed.
Required Tickets & Qualifications
- Workers on Foot (WoF)
- General Construction Induction (White Card)
- Proven experience operating plant with relevant Verification of Competency (VoC)
- MR/HR truck licence preferred but not essential
- Traffic Control tickets – Traffic Controller (TCR) and Implementer (IMP)
