We operate two venues in the Newcastle region and are seeking qualified and experienced Chefs / Cooks to join our friendly & diverse team. Merewether’s Prince of Wales Hotel, colloquially known as ‘The Prince’, is one of Newcastle’s finest pubs; a constant landmark presence in the community since 1876. The Maryville Tavern, in Maryville is a favourite with locals, offering a great atmosphere for a cold drink and pub cuisine. The Maryville has had a refurb, with a focus on enhancing the atmosphere the venue is loved for, whilst leveling up the food and dining experience with a full service bistro.
Our focus across both venues is on the delivery of exceptional modern bistro food and pub classics executed to the highest standards. Proper cooking is what we do, and we pride ourselves in training all of our chefs / cooks in all sections of the kitchen. We are seeking qualified chefs / cooks with at least a 1+ year of professional kitchen experience, who love local produce, a dynamic work environment, and those with a discerning benchmark for quality and creativity.
Our kitchens create exceptional dining experiences, whether it’s Kingfish Carpaccio, a Fried Chicken Burger, Chargrilled Cape Grim Scotch fillet, a pizza or a degustation menu and canapés in one of our event spaces. Our menu and ingredients are as diverse as they are delicious.
