We are a growing waste company committed to accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial management. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Officer to join our finance team and help maintain smooth financial operations.

Role Overview

The Accounts Officer will manage daily accounts functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance using Xero. The ideal candidate is organized, meticulous, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in Xero.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and payments accurately and on time.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
  • Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding payments and account queries.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts and transactions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliations.
  • Strong knowledge of Xero accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience in preparing financial reports and maintaining accurate records.
