The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced, passionate and driven General Manager to lead the front-of-house team and oversee daily operations. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a premium hospitality environment and is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of service, financial performance and team culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inspirational leadership to the front-of-house team, fostering a positive, professional and motivated working environment.
- Manage all day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless service delivery from lunch through to evening dining and special events.
- Uphold and enhance the venue's reputation for exceptional guest experience, handling feedback with grace and implementing continuous improvements.
- Drive revenue and profitability through effective cost control, stock management and strategic initiatives to increase average spend and repeat business.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef/Kitchen team to ensure perfect synergy between kitchen and front-of-house operations.
- Oversee staffing, including recruitment, training, rotas and performance development.
- Manage supplier relationships, admin processes and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Play a key role in marketing and promotional activities to attract new guests and nurture loyalty.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience as a General Manager, Deputy Manager, or Senior Restaurant Manager within a high-quality restaurant or hospitality venue.
- A genuine passion for fine food, wine and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Strong financial and business acumen, with experience in budgeting, P&L understanding and driving profitability.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to train, develop and inspire a team.
- Impeccable communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Sound knowledge of health & safety, licensing laws and industry best practices.
