Ensure the highest level of customer service is provided in all events, including exclusive use weddings, conferences through to small private dining experiences and board meetings. Adequately staff all events, maximising resource utilisation and minimising costs where possible. Liaise with other departments to facilitate smooth event planning and execution. Maintain compliance with current licensing, health, safety and food hygiene requirements. Demonstrate excellent standards of service and behaviour to the team. Coordinate event set-up and ensure facilities exceed company standards. Conduct briefings with staff before each function, providing necessary information and support. Manage staff through shifts, providing regular feedback and addressing any customer complaints promptly and offer training and development opportunities where required. Ensure all areas maintain a positive visual impact and cleanliness. Lead and motivate staff to achieve high standards of service, exceeding customer expectations.
The Person: Previous experience running weddings and functions within a high end establishment is essential. Customer-oriented approach with excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Critical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities. Team player with good organisational and time-management skills. Must possess a valid driving licence. Ability to work under pressure and willingness to work long hours when required.
