We’re looking for a full‑time, permanent Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver to join us based at our site in Wakefield.
Shifts & Pay
- Shifts: Monday to Friday – 14:00 to 22:00
- Pay: £15.86 per hour plus £2.73 for unsociable hours (18:00‑22:00)
Responsibilities
- Loading trailers and securing goods safely.
- Operating an FLT during working hours.
- Performing trailer movements in a busy regional yard.
- Driving a tug on‑site; previous experience an advantage.
- Working safely at all times in confined spaces.
Qualifications
- Shunting experience required; experience in confined spaces a must.
- Flexible working hours.
- No prior experience needed; full training provided.
- Ideally hold LGV / HGV C+E / Class1 entitlement on licence.
- For trained yard shunter without HGV Class1, upskilling of licence considered.
- No more than 6 points, with no DD or DR endorsements.
- FLT licence required.
