Overview
Join to apply for the Transport Supervisor Late Shift role at XPO. We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Supervisor for our site in East Leake (near Leicester), for our contract with British Gypsum. You’ll lead our busy operation, ensuring the daily transport plan is executed safely, legally and on time. You’ll work Monday to Friday on the 2pm to 10pm shift and take responsibility for 50 tractor units and 250 trailers across sites.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £33,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday, with the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, a salary sacrifice car scheme, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day
- Managing a team of up to 70 drivers across shifts
- Managing a site services team of up to 15 per shift
- Manage and oversee the operation
- Daily interaction with the management team for our customer
- Overseeing the execution of the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resources available at site, keeping the customer updated
- Ensure all processes and procedures are followed and that we operate in a safe and efficient environment
- Timely and accurate investigations into safety incidents
- Provide leadership and guidance for the team and provide accurate KPIs internally and to the customer
