We’re hiring a Transport Supervisor to work onsite at our customer location at Fuchs, Hanley, Monday to Friday from 05:00 to 14:00. In this role, you’ll oversee daily administrative tasks, manage HGV fleet maintenance, support investigations, manage drivers, and contribute to QHSE activities. This position is ideal for candidates with solid transport office experience and strong customer service skills.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £36,000 per annum. As well as this, you’ll receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks. There is also an opportunity to learn and progress through the transport operation.
What You’ll Do on a Typical Day
- Manage a bulk fleet ensuring timely departure and managing issues
- Update KPI reports and complete Proof of Delivery checks
- Monitor PDA systems and manage incoming calls
- Oversee service schedules for HGVs, tractor units, and trailers
- Liaise with maintenance providers to ensure full compliance
- Carry out vehicle-related investigations
- Manage drivers, including daily debriefs, briefings, performance support, and addressing operational issues
- Support site-level investigations and disciplinary procedures
- Contribute to QHSE and site performance targets via scorecard activities

- Essential - Proven experience in a transport office environment
- Essential - Knowledge of HGV vehicles and maintenance scheduling
- Essential - Strong customer service skills
- Essential - Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer use
- Desirable – CPC Qualified
- Desirable - Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role
- Desirable - Familiarity with systems such as Sphere, SHARP and SAP
