Our business is growing, and as such we are on the search for a career driven Senior Operations Manager based at our site in Bury St Edmunds. The successful candidate will be an experienced people manager within a transport/logistics background. If this is you, we would love to show you this exteremly exciting opportunity.
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £52,000 per annum with car allowance. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- To manage the performance of the operational teams on site across all shifts, and to ensure behavioural standards are met at all times
- To oversee the strategic planning of site operations and service delivery to ensure that KPI levels are maintained in line with the appropriate cost base
- To monitor and ensure compliance with all XPO processes and policies
- To lead a safety culture on site and actively participate in all QSHE meetings and initiatives.
- To foster an effective working relationship with all colleagues and representatives on site
- To provide leadership and development opportunities for those colleagues that wish to further their career within XPO
- To be accountable for service and operational expenditure across Transport & Warehouse functions
- To effectively deputise for the Site Manager when required
