We are currently building a new team of drivers for our partnership with British Gypsum at our Kingspan depot in Holywell.
We are looking for shunters. The salary is £30,700 per year, and you will be working 4 on 4 off. 12‑hour shifts, with Christmas and Bank Holidays off! You’ll also have access to a variety of high‑street discounts, a cycle‑to‑work scheme, a workplace pension and ongoing training including annual CPC and many other perks. 28 days holiday plus bank Holidays!
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- You will be safely driving our HGV Class 1 and shunt vehicles in a courteous manner and covering shunting requirements on our customer’s site.
- Making sure all goods are correctly strapped before commencing journeys.
- Driving the latest equipment and operating to safety standards.
- Collecting backload where required.
- Safely operate our vehicle delivering British Gypsum products.
- Driving the latest Scania tractor units where safety is utmost in our minds (FORS Gold Standard).
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- Valid LGV C+E Licence
- An up to date CPC and DIGI card
- No more than 6 points on your licence
- No DD, DR or IN endorsements showing on your licence
