Job Description:

We’re looking for a full-time, permanent Shunter with FLT driving experience to join our team in Doncaster, working on-site with British Gypsum. The role involves working a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 14:00 to 22:00.

Pay, benefits, and more:

Salary of £14.62 per hour, with an additional £2.73 per hour between 18:00 and 06:00. Benefits include 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), high street discounts, Iceland discount card, cycle-to-work scheme, workplace pension, and other perks.

Typical daily tasks include:

• Working with plaster products manually and using FLT
• Picking and assisting in loading goods in a safety-conscious environment
• Loading and strapping vehicles, shunting duties (if experienced)
• Using MHE with ongoing training available
• Additional duties such as gatehouse tasks, yard duties, H&S audits, and inventory management

Qualifications and skills needed:

• Previous experience in a similar role and shunting is desirable
• Valid in-date FLT Licence (R.T.I.T.B or equivalent) with experience in Counterbalance Forklift Truck
• Excellent communication skills
• Metal picking/packing and shunt experience advantageous
• Ability to work as part of a team and move heavy products manually if required
