Overview
We\\\’re looking for Class 1 Day Drivers to join us at our site in Hadleigh on a permanent basis. Your journey may start off in a Wagon, but a whole new career could be in front of you from Management, Sales, Warehousing, and more, it just takes the first step! As a CE Driver, you\\\’ll be delivering industrial roofing products and lightweight insulation. You\\\’ll be working a 45-hour week (with overtime available) on a Monday to Friday day shift pattern, with start times for 0500. In return for your hard work, we\\\’ll offer you a competitive hourly rate of £16.23. You\\\’ll also have access to a variety of discounted car leasing, high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, holiday pay, and many other perks as well as ongoing CPC training. We also have the XPO University offering relevant courses to your career progression as well as apprenticeships, giving you to navigate your future logistics career with XPO.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (with C+E entitlement)
- No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN or CD endorsements
- A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
- Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
Responsibilities
- An average of two drops per shift
- Operating a curtain sider trailer
- Opening the curtain to allow product to be forklifted off by the customer
- Driving a modern Renault fleet vehicle while adhering to XPO safety standards
- Completing and returning delivery information to site
