If the answer is yes then we are looking for someone like youto join our team working on the British Gypsum contract in Kirby Thore Weighbridge Operator.
The main purpose of the weighbridge operator is to ensure the smooth operation of the Weighbridge facility, acting as the first and last point of contact for all staff and contractors.
The operator will also be responsible for ensuring that all legal and contractual obligations are met, including site inductions completed and weight checks
carried out.
The weighbridge operator acts as a key component of the transport function, liasing with them regularly to ensure the delivery of a first class service to our
customer.

You will be working 4 in 4 off shift pattern between 06.00-18.00. Were looking to offer a salary of Β£26,758. We offer 20 days\β holiday. Youll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.
What youll do on a typical day:
- To weigh in and out all vehicles, recording both weighs and ensuring there are no variances that are outside the tolerance.
- Comply with all legislative requirements, Company policies and procedures and customer-specific requirements.
- Ensure that all personnel entering site have been inducted using the rapid induct system.
- Check that only authorised vehicles and people enter on to the site. Ensure that all vehicles that enter and exit site are logged.
- Issue site rules to all drivers.
- Ensure that appropriate paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all shipments are despatched on SAP
- Understand and comply with all relevant Company rules, agreements, policies, procedures and with all relevant legislative requirements and codes of practice.
- Ensure Company business is treated in the strictest confidence and not disclosed to persons outside the Company.
- Act in a professional manner, ensure good working relationships are maintained and promote a good image of the Company at all times
- Where appropriate challenge and determine reasons for presence on site of any unauthorised person.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- Previous experience of working in a logistics environment preferred but not essential, full training will be given.
