Logistics done differently. Are you currently working in a warehouse environment or as a drivers mate? Do you enjoy being active and working as a 2-person team? We are looking for flexible Drivers Mates to join us at our site in Huthwaite on a permanent basis.
The role involves multi drop deliveries to customers at various locations. This is a very varied contract, so it gives you the chance to do something different every day. You will be working Monday to Friday and in return for your hard work, we will offer you a competitive basic salary of £32,604 with overtime at £18.81 after 50 hours per week. The role is PAYE and based on a guaranteed 50-hour week. You will also be applicable for a £300 signing bonus, paid after two full weeks of work has been completed and an additional £300 bonus once you have passed your 12-week probation period!
What you'll do on a typical day:
- Making deliveries to residential and new build properties and putting products into a specified room
- You will be working in partnership with the same driver each day
- Delivering 50 to 200 items per drop, from door handles to pantry shelves
- Full manual handling training will be given
- Opportunity to develop and progress your skills to become a HGV driver
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- You must be physically fit as the deliveries can be a little heavy
- Must have a driving licence
- Previous experience would be great for this role, although full training can be given
- You will be working at customer sites making complex deliveries, so must have previous experience in customer-facing roles
