We are looking for an Operational Trainer to join our QSHE team on our Weetabix Contract, playing a key role in ensuring colleagues receive high-quality training that supports operational excellence, legal compliance and a safe working environment. Working across site operations, you'll help develop colleague capability, close skills gaps and support a culture of continuous improvement.
Pay, benefits and more:
We are looking to offer a salary of up to £32,500 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Delivering training programmes to professional standards, including MHE, manual handling, SOP and SSOW training.
- Conducting inductions for new starters, agency workers and visitors.
- Assessing and evaluating colleague competence, documenting progress and identifying development needs.
- Maintaining accurate training records, skills matrices and audit trails.
- Supporting re-training and reassessment following incidents or accidents.
- Managing training documentation to ensure legal and audit compliance.
- Supporting internal and external audits, customer visits and compliance activities.
- Communicating training requirements effectively across the operation.
- Working with operational teams to identify and close skills gaps through structured training plans.
- Promoting a strong health, safety, food safety and environmental culture across site.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- Previous experience in a training role within warehousing, logistics, manufacturing or a similar operational environment.
- RTITB qualification (or equivalent) with the ability to deliver MHE training in line with legal requirements.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety and compliance standards.
- Experience maintaining training records and managing training matrices.
- Understanding of document control processes and ideally knowledge of BRC and/or ISO9001 standards.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach with a passion for developing people and driving continuous improvement.
