We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader on a Permanent basis to cover our Day Shift, based at our site in Aylesbury on our contract with Arla (Dairy). We run a large fleet with 100 vehicles and 200 drivers. This is working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern working 6am to 6pm.
Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 28 days holiday, inclusive of bank holidays, as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Support the Shift Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations during your shift with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their absence.
- Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and collections, with a keen eye on resources available at site and keep the customer updated.
- Ensure all processes and procedures are followed and that we operate a safe and efficient environment.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- It’s important you have exposure to working in a fast-paced environment; no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet.
- Previous experience supervising and developing a team within a complex transport environment.
- Proven experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance and driver hours.
