Are you an HGV driver fed up with not knowing when you're working next, or when your work will die down? Are you an experienced yard shunter looking for work in a stable industry? Do you hold an FLT license? If you answered yes, then look no further - XPO Logistics is recruiting! We're looking for a full-time, permanent Class 1 HGV Shunter Driver to join us based on our site in Wakefield.
Shifts: Monday to Friday - 14:00-22:00.
Pay Rates: £15.86 plus £2.73 unsociable hours (18:00-22:00).
What you'll do on a typical day:
- You will be loading trailers and securing goods safely.
- Full training will be given.
- You will work in a safe manner at all times.
- You will be required to operate an FLT during your working hours.
- You'll be performing trailer movements in our busy regional yard.
- You will be driving a Tug on-site so previous experience would be an advantage.
- All work is yard based, no road work is expected.
- You must have shunting experience as some manoeuvres are in confined spaces.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- Must be flexible in working hours.
- No experience needed, full training will be given.
- Ideally LGV / HGV C+E / Class 1 Entitlement on your licence.
- If a trained yard shunter without HGV Class 1, we will look to upskill your current licence.
- No more than 6 points, with no DD or DR endorsements present.
- FLT Licence.
