Logistics done differently. Are you an HGV driver fed up with not knowing when you're working next? We're looking for flexible Class 1 HGV Drivers to join us at our site in Sherburn in Elmet, on a permanent contract.
You’ll be supporting our British Gypsum contract on a Monday to Friday shift pattern, working the night shift. The roles are direct deliveries and not multi-drop. Weekend overtime is also available. In return for your hard work, we’ll offer you a competitive hourly rate of £16.59 for nights. Pro Rata this is equal to £41,408.64 basic for night shift with the opportunity to work extra shifts on top! The role is PAYE and unfortunately, we cannot accept Ltd Companies.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Making deliveries to British Gypsum customers
- You will be driving new equipment and pulling new trailers
- Our sites are Gold Standard FORS compliant and you will be working in an environment that is highly safety driven
- No manual handling, all loads tipped by clients
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- Full UK driving licence (with CE entitlement)
- No more than six penalty points on your licence and no DD, DR, IN, or CD endorsements
- A valid CPC and Digital Tacho card
- Excellent knowledge of the UK road network
