Are you a Class 1 Driver looking for the security of guaranteed full-time hours and a permanent contract? Do you want to work for one of the most forward-thinking and fast-growing logistics companies in the UK? We are looking to recruit full-time, permanent Shunter Drivers to join us at our site in Hadleigh. You’ll be working on average 48 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, 0600-1600. You’ll also be conducting admin duties.

We’re looking to offer the competitive salary of £15.34 per hr. You’ll also receive holiday pay, access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks including ongoing CPC training updates.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Despatching drivers on a morning
  • Putting trailers on bay for loading and removing trailers once loaded
  • Securing loads prior to moving from loading bay
  • Managing the loading schedule and keeping the detail of it up to date
  • Controlling the weighbridge, booking 3rd party hauliers in and out of site.

This is a key role to the operation, supporting to ensure trailers are loaded and the onsite operation runs smoothly and is controlled at all times.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Full UK driving licence (with CE entitlement) with a valid CPC & Digital Tacho card
  • No more than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)
  • Great knowledge of the UK roads nationally
