We have an exciting opportunity for a Planner to join our busy transport operation working a

4 on 4 off shift pattern .

In this role, you'll be responsible for planning and optimising daily delivery routes, coordinating resources effectively and ensuring service levels are achieved safely, efficiently and cost-effectively.

You'll work closely with drivers, customers and operational teams to keep the operation moving while responding to the changing demands of a fast-paced logistics environment.

What You Need To Succeed At XPO

  • Previous experience within transport, logistics, planning, administration or coordination roles.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with drivers, customers and operational teams.
  • Good IT and data management skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making.
  • An understanding of transport operations would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience of Transport Management Systems (TMS) would be beneficial.
  • Experience using Tachomaster or similar driver compliance systems would be highly desirable.
  • Looking to develop your career within transport planning and logistics.
  • Calm and resilient under pressure, with the ability to adapt to changing operational demands.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
