How about working Monday to Friday with weekends off?

We’re looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Class 1 HGV Driver happy to undertake the odd N/O to join us at our site in Uddingston.

You’ll be guaranteed a minimum of 50 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, typically 05:00 to 16:00, odd 6th shift may be available.

We’re looking to offer the competitive hourly rate of £16.71 per hour.

You will also receive 22 days holiday per year.

  • What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
  • Single or multi-drop deliveries, generally a maximum of three per load
  • Ensure the safe and legal operation of your vehicle at all times
  • Typically, Mon to Fri - 05:00 to 16:00 - Flexibility required
  • Expectation being odd Night Out required
  • What You Need To Succeed At XPO
  • Full UK driving licence (with CE entitlement)
  • No more than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements)
  • Great knowledge of the UK roads nationally
  • Element of manual offloading of product on occasion, so a level of physical fitness is required to achieve this.
  • Flexibility to N/O - Typically up to 2 nights per week.
  • Adaptability to drive Class 2 vehicles on occasion desirable.
  • HIAB experience preferable but not essential as training available
  • Construction industry experience preferable but again not essential - Full load restraining and product offloading training given - Hands on requirement
