Logistics done differently. Are you a Transport Supervisor looking for an environment that will help accelerate your career? Can you juggle multiple tasks at any one time? Is working closely with our customers to achieve the same goal something that would motivate you? If so, we are looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join us at our Robertsbridge site on a full time, permanent basis working Mon - Fri between the hours of 8am to 5pm.

The salary on offer will be up to £35,000 depending on experience. We also offer 25 days' holiday (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What You'll Do On a Typical Day

  • Oversee daily transport operations, including vehicle loading, dispatch, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Work closely with Warehouse Management to ensure efficient loading plans and vehicle flow.
  • Supervise drivers, including debriefing and ensuring all administration and compliance tasks are completed.
  • Monitor load security, conduct spot checks, and ensure all deliveries meet KPI and SLA targets.
  • Manage communication with customers, hauliers, and internal stakeholders, including reporting issues or delays.
  • Provide cover for the Transport Manager when required.
  • Ensure accurate reporting, incident management, and timely escalation of service impacts.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, including inspections and investigations.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies and transport regulations, working alongside compliance teams.
  • Manage asset planning, ensuring servicing and inspections are scheduled appropriately.

What You Need To Succeed At XPO

  • Experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role (or ready to step up into one).
  • Strong people management skills, with experience overseeing drivers and office-based teams.
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and ensure performance and compliance standards are met.
  • Confident in handling day-to-day operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams (warehouse, customer service, and clients).
  • Good commercial awareness and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple priorities.
  • A team-focused attitude, with a willingness to get involved and support the wider operation.
  • High levels of energy, resilience, and adaptability.
