We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to be based at our site in Norwich on our customer contract. As part of this busy transport operation, covering Mon to Fri.

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- The planning of all orders/shipments for the ASHI contract within the timeframes set by the SLA.
- Planning of XPO core fleet resource across the sites, with full use of TMS and associated optimisation software.
- Subcontractor planning, allocating all work through TMS ensuring haulier partners confirm jobs assigned to them with correct cost allocation.
- Ensure all Fleet/Drivers costs are updated and logged accurately.
- Representing the Planning Team in the daily Ops Meetings.
- Acting as a liaison point between ASHI Depots and CS and the XPO Transport Team.
- Ensure all collections are planned and updated on the planning sheet.
- Proactively plan any urgent orders and communicate the delivery date to ASHI.
- Ensure ASHI are notified in a timely manner of any date changes/failed orders including reasons why, ensuring they are re-dated and re-planned ASAP.
- Ensure all core fleet is allocated, ensuring all fleet is utilised effectively.
- Immediate escalation to the Planning Manager/Supervisor for any non-conformance to the daily plan.
What You Need To Succeed At XPO
- Exposure of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience within transport and a good understanding of compliance and driver hours would be beneficial.
