Logistics done differently. XPO Logistics are looking for a Night Shift Manager for our contract in Bradford. This is your opportunity to take charge of a busy warehouse operation. Working a 4 on 4 off Night shift pattern 18:00-06:00, you’ll be comfortable challenging process and driving the operation forwards.
Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Take overall responsibility for the day to day running of the shift function, including the relationship with the customer, this will include a daily morning meeting.
- Drive standards for operational compliance and Health & Safety.
- Ensure that the shift KPIs are hit and meet the customer SLAs.
- Get involved in HR activity, including incident investigations, disciplinaries and performance management.
- Lead your team in a fast-paced environment, being proactive in the way you work to ensure the customer needs are met.
- Work closely with the onsite service team to make sure all MHE is fit for purpose to use, making sure all defects are reported and any damage is fully investigated.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- A strong, demonstrable background in warehouse management.
- Ideally, you’ll have worked in a 3PL environment and understand customer needs.
- Practical exposure to WMS systems including EWM, and ideally, a working knowledge of SAP.
- Experience successfully performance managing leadership teams.
