Our business is growing, and we are calling all high achieving managers, if you have a solid transport background, experience in managing dedicated transport solutions for customers across multiple sites, a good understanding of operational cost and are astute at managing a P&L - we want to hear from you!

We are looking to offer a salary of up to £75,000 + company car/allowance.

  • What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
  • You will be accountable for the operational & financial performance of 4 dedicated contracts in a mix of sectors operating across several sites nationally.
  • Promote a safety culture throughout the operation, leading by example and actively participating and supporting safety campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide operational leadership to the team of Contract Managers by setting achievable goals and encouraging innovation.
  • Develop a clear understanding of open and closed book financial and operational metrics to ensure the contract profitability targets and customers budgets are met.
  • Actively champion engagement and welfare across the sites with focus on colleague retention and minimal attrition.
  • Interaction with internal and external customers to understand their requirements and identify opportunities to expand current relationships.
  • Ensure sites are compliant with all legislative and internal processes and procedures, taking timely and appropriate action where this is not the case.
  • Encourage and support development and progression within the team and devise a clear succession plan across each site.
  • Lead the continuous improvement agenda across your contracts, ensuring annual gainshare targets are achieved to deliver benefit to customers and XPO.
  • Active participation in existing daily processes including Night Network calls, finance reviews & QSHE meetings.

  • Senior management experience within the transport / logistics sector
  • Dedicated transport solution operational knowledge
  • Experience in managing multiple sites
  • Proven capability to create high performance teams in a number of scenarios such as new business implementation, operational improvement
  • Ability to build strong and lasting commercial relationships
  • Open book operations management
  • Demonstrable commercial and financial acumen
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting lines effectively
