Logistics done differently. Are you a Transport Operator looking for an environment that will help accelerate your career? Can you juggle multiple tasks at any one time? Is working closely with our customers to achieve the same goal something that would motivate you? If so, we are looking for a Traffic Operator to join us at our Bury St Edmunds site on a full time, permanent basis. This role will be working in the Traffic office PM shift 12:00 to 21:00 hours.

The salary on offer will be up to £30,300. We also offer 25 days holiday (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
- Act as the main point of contact to both our drivers and customers, effectively dealing with any issues as they come up.
- Carry out driver debriefs, ensuring that our transport operation is running both safely and cost-effectively.
- Escalate details of vehicle accidents, defects or any fleet issues to senior management.
- Plan and assist in planning daily and weekly vehicle routes for drivers making sure all our customers' goods are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
What You Need To Succeed At XPO
- Previous experience of working within a fast-paced transport environment (desirable).
- Strong people skills – you’ll be meeting a variety of stakeholders on a day-to-day basis.
- Confidence in the use of IT, especially with Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel.
