Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a Transport Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Darlington site, working Monday to Friday 12pm to 8pm
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £28,500. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- To cost effectively plan and dispatch routes to achieve contractual delivery times, conducting remedial planning to effectively manage live changes to the plan.
- To review the cost effectiveness of routes through KPI analysis, taking remedial action where necessary
- To ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism
- To liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of hire vehicles / sub-contractors minimising the cost impact to the business
- To ensure that details of vehicle accidents are escalated to line management
- To ensure that defected vehicles are recorded on traffic sheets
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- Working knowledge of driver hours regulations
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
- Financial Understanding
- Operational understanding of team roles
