Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a Transport Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Barrow Upon Soar site, working Monday to Friday on the afternoon shift.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £29,000. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other benefits.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- To support and assist the shift supervisor in executing the traffic plan, dispatching drivers to achieve contractual delivery times and conducting remedial planning to effectively manage live changes.
- Overseeing load timing and bay planning to ensure correct load dispatching.
- To ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism in systems and on paperwork.
- To ensure that defected vehicles are recorded on traffic sheets and that the defects are managed to ensure quick turnaround.
- Support the contractual safety and quality initiatives and obligations.
What you need to succeed in this role at XPO:
- Working knowledge of driver hours regulations would be an advantage.
- Good communication skills.
- Organised and logical approach.
- Working knowledge of systems generally and aptitude for learning and developing.
- Good knowledge of health and safety standards would be an advantage also.
