We are looking for someone like you. We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Coordinator to be based at our site in our Sherburn in Elmet, North Yorkshire for our transport operations for our customer – British Gypsum. You will be working Monday – Friday, rotating shift of 05:30-14:00 / 13:30-22:00

What you’ll do on a typical day
- Co-ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations
- Ensure vehicle defects are reported and actioned in a timely manner
- Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
- Continually look to improve the service we provide offering ideas and recommendations as necessary.
- To build and maintain a strong partnership with the transport functions and drivers to ensure regular communication is delivered.
- Driver brief and de-briefing as well as data entry of statistics, customer reports and KPI’S
What you need to succeed at XPO
- Good administrative skills
- Have a positive attitude
- Experience working in a Transport role
- Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
- Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
- Being proactive in identifying and resolving any potential issues before they occur
