We’re currently recruiting for a Day Shift Supervisor to join our site in Leicester for our contract with PepsiCo. To lead daily transport operations, support drivers and office teams, maintain service performance, and ensure compliance with company and legal standards. Working Mon to Fri 6am to 4pm.
Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £29,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Monitor driver activity and ensure the transport plan runs smoothly.
- Monitor yard activity for safety.
- Handle driver calls and update systems with accurate information.
- Escalate delays or issues quickly to keep service on track.
- Manage any exceptions (returns, shortages, damages, refusals).
- Support Despatch, Debrief and Customer Service throughout the shift.
- Ensure drivers follow WTD regulations and all compliance standards.
- Oversee the debrief process (vehicle checks, PODs, signatures).
- Maintain accurate driver records, training and licence checks.
- Log accidents, defects and fuel information correctly.
- Report Maintenance issues.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- It’s important you have exposure of working in a fast‑paced environment – no two days will be the same and we need you to think on your feet.
- Experience of supporting staff performance by managing 1‑2‑1s, training and inductions.
- Supervisory experience within a logistics environment.
